We bring you a legal, permit-free AC, set it up, and collect it again from mid-September. No deposit, nothing to lug, nothing to store away. Prefer to own one? We'll point you to a partner shop and can install it for you.
No drillingMost flats in Germany have no air conditioning, and buying your own unit sounds simpler than it ends up being. You haul a heavy box up to the fourth floor, guess which window seal fits, and hunt for somewhere to store it eight months a year. Often there's a deposit on top of that. The rules aren't really the hard part. The hassle of owning is.
Room size, window type, noise-sensitive neighbours. Takes two minutes.
A quiet unit sized for your room, window seal included. We fit it, with no drilling.
We book your collection slot with you in August. Nothing to store, no deposit. And if it breaks, you get a replacement within 3 working days.
Prefer to buy? That runs through our partner link, and if you like, we'll set it up at your place for 149 €.
Portable monoblocks, window units and permanently sealed mobile splits are all permit-free. No grey areas.
We filter by noise level. On the Premium unit the compressor sits outside, so it stays quiet enough for the bedroom.
You pay no deposit. And if a unit fails, you get a replacement within 3 working days.
4-month minimum term + €189 for delivery, setup and collection — €545 for the whole 2027 season. A quiet AC matched to your room, window seal fitted, collected again from mid-September. No deposit. If it breaks: a replacement within 3 working days.
4-month minimum term + €299 for delivery and professional installation by two of us — €1,095 for the whole 2027 season. Extra-quiet tech: the compressor sits outside, so it's bedroom-friendly, energy-saving, no drilling. Professional installation always included.
Prefer to buy? Through our partner link. If you like, we'll set it up at your place for €149.
In recent summers around 3,000 people in Germany died from the heat each year — in the worst years (2018 and 2019) it was about 7,000.
Only about 1 in 5 German households has air conditioning, and cost is the number one reason people go without.
No. We only bring units you're allowed to use as a renter: portable monoblocks, window units and permanently sealed mobile splits. Those don't fall under the rules for fixed split systems.
Not for mobile units, since nothing is fixed to the building and we don't drill. For window solutions, it's still worth a quick look at your rental contract first.
Sommer-Abo Standard: €89/month, 4-month minimum term, plus €189 for delivery, setup and collection — €545 for the whole season. Sommer-Abo Premium “Quiet”: €199/month, 4-month minimum term, plus €299 for delivery and professional installation — €1,095 for the season. No deposit.
Because the Abo covers the whole season: 1 June to 30 September. The unit stays with you all summer and we collect it from mid-September — so you pay four monthly instalments and never a month in which the unit isn't at your place. The one-time fee (€189 on Standard, €299 on Premium) covers delivery, setup or professional installation, and the collection at the end.
We bring the unit to you and set it up: with a fitted window seal on the Standard Abo and professional installation on the Premium. For the collection we book a slot with you in August, and pickups start in mid-September. There's nothing for you to store.
Sure. You'd buy through our partner link, and if you like, we'll set it up at your place for 149 €. The partner shop is always the seller and carries the warranty.
For 2027 we're releasing just 30 Sommer-Abo spots, and they go out over WhatsApp first. Sign up and get in before the heat does. No deposit.
